Carbon Barod Company
Exploitation of fossil fuels has gone so far as to increase greenhouse gases, pollution and global warming. In the process of refining oil and gas and converting them into derivatives, a large amount of waste is always left in nature. These materials, which are generally gaseous, have been released into the atmosphere for a long time in all refining complexes. Due to the fact that a large part of the exhaust gases is carbon dioxide gas, which constitutes a large volume of greenhouse gas emissions, the release of this gas into the atmosphere and solving this global problem has become the main concern of people, especially environmental activists.
In most countries of the world, the waste of the refining process is now converted into consumables, which reduces the pollution of refineries and, of course, increases the added value. For example, carbon dioxide from these processes is converted to higher purity states of this gas and is used for various industries.
While in Iran, carbon dioxide needed by industries was produced with old costly technologies and refineries, while not using the gas in their waste, leave it in nature; Carbon Barod Company, for the first time, imported the latest technologies in the world to convert Tehran refinery waste into carbon.
Carbon Barod Company offers consumed dioxide in three forms: bulk carbon dioxide gas, carbon dioxide capsules and dry ice. The products of this company are used for petrochemical, food, beverage, automotive, health and ... industries.
Dana Investment Company has purchased a 30% stake in Carbon Barod Company following its strategy to develop businesses in the oil industry value chain and enter niche markets. Also, in cooperation with other shareholders, in addition to generating revenue, it tries to reduce pollution in the metropolis of Tehran, especially in the south of the city, by reducing the release of carbon dioxide into the air and turning the Tehran refinery into Iran's first green refinery.
We estimate that by utilizing the full capacity of this plant, a volume equivalent to an 8 million square meter forest of carbon dioxide will be collected from the atmosphere. The company is now ready to produce at full capacity after conducting technical tests and several stages of pilot production and finding a market.
In addition, the company is trying to turn other refineries in the Tehran refinery into marketable products and generate revenue from other wastes from the oil refining process.
